Film transfer FAQ
How long does it take?
About two weeks from the day your reels arrive or are dropped off. If you need them sooner, say so when you get in touch.
What formats do you transfer?
Regular 8mm and Super 8 film. Not sure what you have? Send a photo of the reel and box.
What do I get back?
Your original reels, plus 1080p digital files on a USB drive and a private download link. The files play on phones, computers, and TVs.
What if a reel is longer or an odd size?
Pricing is $29 for the first 100 feet and 20 cents per foot after that, so any reel can be priced before work starts.
What about damaged or brittle film?
Each reel is inspected and cleaned before scanning, and splices are repaired where needed. If a reel has a problem that affects the result, you'll hear about it before anything is scanned.
How do I mail my reels?
Get in touch first and you'll receive the shipping address and a short packing guide. Use a sturdy box, pack the reels snugly so they cannot shift, and choose a tracked service.
